Useful before calculation
Quote operations, not elapsed waiting time
LeadSync measures active work: preparing requests, chasing suppliers, consolidating responses, re-entering data and updating customers. Supplier response time is reported separately and never multiplied into labour cost.
Why education MSPs need a quote workload model
Account executives and commercial leaders in UK education-focused MSPs regularly spend unbilled time chasing connectivity, telephony and hardware quotes for school and trust customers. Supplier turnaround can be slow, but the more immediate risk is the cumulative active minutes your own team invests in compiling, clarifying and chasing every quote. This model lets you isolate that time, apply a cautious hourly floor and see the real labour cost before you add any margin.
How supplier elapsed time is handled
A common mistake is to treat supplier delay as paid labour. Our approach separates your team’s active minutes from the elapsed time a supplier takes to respond. The calculator uses your estimate of active staff minutes per quote, multiplied by the UK National Living Wage floor of GBP 12.71 per hour. Nothing is charged for supplier wait time. This gives a cleaner picture of your genuine sales capacity cost.
From labour cost to live supplier-backed quote
Once you know the internal labour cost of generating every education quote, you can compare it against a live supplier-backed connectivity quote available inside your free MSP account. The supplier-backed figure shows an annual connectivity price that you can use to set customer pricing with clearer cost insight, without ever exposing supplier names publicly. No pricing is invented; if a price hasn’t been supplied, the field will show ‘source required’.
No double counting
Direct administration cost, addressable cost, recovered capacity, pipeline exposure and confirmed loss are separate. They are never added into one headline.
